in addition to grids and levels,should the architect provide structural engineer with preliminary columns in the expected location?
then after finalize structural design ,should the architect copy/monitor final columns into his model?

Yes thats what we usualy do in early schematic or late concept design , after that the structural elemnts author will be the structural engineer
